One of my favorite things about this project is the motivation to find beauty in the everyday items that surround me. These flowers were part of a live arrangement at our beauty salon. I was taking pictures of something much less interesting and they kind of jumped out and grabbed me.
What a nice thing to see when we are socked in the middle of a cold, snowy winter.
This was a nice shot, too. A good candid :)

What would winter in New England be without snow? And we only have 3 more months... Expect some more snowscapes! I like this shot for the series of trees that have fallen along the same angle in the frame's center, the bench in the way background that you can barely see, and the various greenery that is mixed in.

The birds were going crazy at the feeder today. I was particularly interested in a small woodpecker that kept eating from the suet (below). As I was going a little photo crazy using Michael's Nikon D80, I inadvertently got this little guy in flight. He is a different one that the one below with the woodpecker. Birds were everywhere!

We got snow last night. This is one of my attempts at capturing it. The snow coming down as streaks and the reflection from the back door were unexpected treats.
