This is a photo of an "ordinary thing" I see every weekday -- my Christmas cactus. It sits in my office, largely ignored, blooming beautifully several times a year. I enjoy the flowers and do my best to remember to water it (cactus do need water, I've learned through experience).
This picture does an amazing job of capturing just how beautiful the blooms of a succulent can be. I love the color and light on the flower petals, as well as the detail in the veins. You can find beauty in everyday things...
